Katharos Means “Pure” in Greek
Katharos is our ministry of compassion
“This is pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father, to visit orphans and widows in their distress” – James 1:27a
Recognizing the model of Christ in feeding the 5,000, the Katharos wing of KOAH focuses both on the spiritual and material needs of the people to whom we are called. For us, that means we are tasked with helping widows, orphans, enslaved brick-workers, and ministry partners who require medical attention. We are grateful to those who have already joined us, by God’s grace, in distributing necessary resources overseas.
Recently, for example, one of the children of the Jesus-Children Rehabilitation and Evangelism Center in Uganda was attacked by a rabid dog and required immediate medical attention to save his life. The Lord blessed us with responding quickly with financial assistance, and the Lord gave the young man a total recovery. But there is more to the story. Upon hearing about his plight, two donors responded generously to cover his medical and recovery costs, thereby freeing the funds that were initially given to be available for other ministry expenses.
In July 2026, we received our largest one time donation and were blessed to work with partners in Pakistan to help free an enslaved widow and her 8 children! Her video is available below. We hope that God will give us opportunities to do this time and time again.
We are grateful to the Lord who is working through financial partners like you! And we are looking for more. Please pray about joining us!
